Nicholas Peat is a multidisciplinary artist and founder of EcoStrategyPEC.

Prior to founding EcoStrategy, he worked for several years in conservation lands management, performing ecological restoration and invasive species control on a number of different sites of ecological significance. He has also worked as a university painting instructor, trail builder, ranch-hand, bartender, janitor, piano side-man, folk musician, poet, one-time novelist, commercial illustrator, and merchant sailor.

His professional art practice spans many media and explores how motivated, affirmative action can be highjacked as antidote to pessimism, malaise, and the fear of imminent doom. . .

He holds a Master’s of Fine Art from the University of Saskatchewan, and A Bachelor’s of Art from Queen’s University. He is currently attaining his certification in Landscape Design from the University of Guelph.
